Job Details

The Finance Team are looking to recruit a Financial Business Partner to work as part of the team supporting the delivery of a professional and comprehensive finance service across the Alliance of High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

The ideal candidate will be working to become a fully qualified CCAB accountant and have experience of Local Authority financial planning and reporting procedures including the preparation and monitoring of budgets and the preparation of final accounts.  HRA technical accounting experience is also required.

As a financial business partner you will champion the business partnering approach to ensure financial awareness is embedded within Services which in turn supports the medium-term financial plan resulting in a high level of satisfaction from users. 

The successful candidate should have excellent team working, strong analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to work in collaboration with a range of internal and external customer to support cross service working.
