We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated finance professional to provide financial advice and support to the Housing and Communities Directorate. As a part-qualified accountant actively studying towards full qualification (or fully qualified), you will have a passion for providing high-quality financial support to services.

In this pivotal role, you will lead in all aspects of the finance service for your service area, including the production of budget monitoring reports and closure of accounts, as well as budget setting and financial planning. 

In addition to providing support to services, the Business Partners provide support to the Senior Business Partner to improve existing processes and controls, strengthening governance and continually improving the quality of information used to support the Council’s decision making.

You will have an understanding of local government and the environment in which it operates, and the ability and confidence to work strategically. You will also need to be a dynamic and highly motivated individual who can work effectively with managers at all levels with the confidence to present and provide advice to senior managers and other stakeholders. Ideally, you will have worked in a Business Partnering environment and have experience of HRA accounting.
