We are currently seeking to fill the following role in the Financial Services Team:

FINANCIAL SYSTEMS, REPORTING AND TRANSFORMATION MANAGER

FULL TIME (37 HOURS) AT GRADE 11 £38,890 - £40,876

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Services Team at Wyre Council in the post of Financial Systems, Reporting and Transformation Manager.  This is a new permanent full time role and, working alongside the Head of Finance and Principal Accountant, will play a key part in driving improvement and innovation within the finance team.

Digital transformation is a key strand to the Council’s Business Plan and the post will be responsible for overseeing the development and operation of the key financial systems including Civica Financials (an integrated ledger system) and Civica Pay (a cash receipting system).

Reporting to the Head of Finance (Deputy s151 Officer), the post holder will manage a small team of financial professionals and will co-ordinate work relating to the accounts payable, financial systems and payroll functions.  The duties of the role are wide and varied and will help to support the delivery of the council’s key business plan objectives, whilst ensuring the council’s long term financial health and sustainability.

The post holder will ideally be fully or part-qualified with a CCAB accounting body and will need, as a minimum, to have completed Level 4 Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).  The successful applicant will be an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.  Experience of process review, analytics and project and change management would be beneficial.
