A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within our small, friendly, and professional Financial Management Team for a Senior Accounting Technician.

As a Senior Accounting Technician, you’ll use your initiative and enthusiasm to deliver all aspects of management accounting support to the Isle of Wight Council’s Adult Social Care directorate.

Your work will be varied and sometimes unpredictable, but the essential skills and experience required for the role includes being AAT qualified (or a relevant equivalent) with experience of budgetary control, able to communicate effectively at all levels and with fantastic attention to detail.

This is a challenging role that would suit a highly motivated individual who enjoys discovering new and innovative ways of working and can swiftly establish strong and collaborative relationships with customers.

This is both a reactive and supportive role, enabling teams to make the best use of funds, so you will need confidence and be able to both lead and influence in the service areas you are supporting.

You will need to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide high-quality information, analysis and advice ensuring that our customers receive effective support even when working under pressure and to strict deadlines.

In addition to our open and friendly working environment, you’ll enjoy an excellent benefits package including 31 days annual leave, flexible working, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

If you would like to find out more, we’d love to hear from you, you can contact Mandy King for an informal discussion on the following number, 821000 ext. 6536.
