Our client is a NHS Trust which has an excellent opportunity for an interim Associate Director of Finance to join the organisation and lead a team through a period of change.

The Associate Director of Finance will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of financial management and contracting, and for the strategic planning of all aspects of the business agenda across the department. This will require the post holder to formulate long term, strategic plans which involve uncertainty.  Additionally, this position will be responsible for the contractual relationship between the Trust and CCG and for the management of the contractual processes including both as provider and commissioner of services. As a result, you will play a key role in the divisional Senior Management Team and your work may impact across the whole organisation.  Accountable to the Director of Finance, the role will include co-ordinating projects across the department and making a contribution to the overall work of the trust to enable it to fulfil its statutory duties, including meeting internal and external reporting requirements.

Our client is looking to secure the services of an accomplished, qualified accountant with significant experience of leading both finance teams and business planning in a large and complex organisation.  Exposure to contract management and performance would be very helpful as well.  You will have a high standard of technical skills and full knowledge and understanding of the NHS financial regime.  The right candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to rapidly build effective working relationships, as this role will liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Managing a wide ranging portfolio of tasks and liaising with all levels of the organisation should present an interesting position for the right candidate.
