Interim Management Accountant
The role of the Finance team is changing. As the council continues its journey towards financial self-sustainability there is an increasing need to deliver effective budget management and provide strong financial support and vision.
With tighter budgets and increasing commercial activity, a Local Authority in Essex are looking to recruit to 3 key roles that will help shape and deliver the financial expertise required for the council to thrive.
The roles are within the Management Accounting team and provide business partner support to the following services – Adult Social Care, Central Services and Regeneration/Public Realm
You will have excellent financial management skills and be able to work effectively with budget holders and have the ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-financial managers is a must. Understanding of key financial process including budget setting, budget management and closedown is required as is the ability to understand and support commercial budgets.
You will be part qualified or studying towards a CCAB qualification, and ideally have some Local Government or public sector experience.
Due to the current government restrictions this role will be home based for the foreseeable.
