Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Finance Business Partner /Senior Management Accountant in the new Buckinghamshire Council, playing a key role in supporting our large and diverse Communities and Resources Directorates, by providing a finance business partnering service to a number of Directors and Senior Leadership Team.

Our main focus is supporting the business to provide the best possible service to our residents. To do that, we have to make sure we have the right people in the right roles across the organisation as each service is vital in making sure Buckinghamshire Council has what it needs to run effectively and efficiently.

This is a fixed term/secondment opportunity till 31 March 2022.

About us

There are 3 roles available across two areas:

The Communities Directorate covers a wide range of specialisms, Culture Sport & Leisure, Highways & Technical Services, Neighbourhoods Services, and Transport Services.

The Resources Directorate covers a wide range of specialisms, including Human Resources, Finance, ICT and Business Operations.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Finance for Communities Services or Head of Finance for Resources, you will provide a finance business partnering service to a number of Directors and Senior Leadership Team.

About you

This post is currently available for a fully qualified CCAB or CIMA accountant, with significant experience of working in a Public Sector environment (preferable from Local Government), excellent communication & problem solving skills, and experience working in an ever-changing environment. You need to be able to work on your own initiative, as well as within the team and under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
