This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Finance Team at Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council for a period of 18 months to cover a secondment.  The council has a reputation for strong financial management which you will be expected to be an integral part of for the period you are with the council.  A new Enterprise Resource System (ERP) is being implemented so there is a need for an increase in our resources.  You will support an Executive Director and Directorate Management Team with;

• Producing financial management information, forecasting and budgeting;
• The whole financial cycle including year-end and budget setting
• Delivering savings and income targets; and
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations

We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes:

• Qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent)
• Experience of working in local government
• Confident, personable, positive attitude and enthusiasm to develop in the role
