An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative qualified accountant to join a dynamic and forward thinking Finance Team striving to be the best Finance Team in the Best Council.

This is a critical post and you will be responsible for strategically delivering the cultural and organisational change in regard to finance, re-designing the financial services ‘Delivery Offer’, the directorate financial responsibilities and the reconfiguration of the financial management service including the associated roles and responsibilities.

You will provide professional leadership and management of a centrally based Financial Management Business Change Team, working alongside a larger Core Business Transformation Team to drive and support a range of transformational work-packages and other transformational initiatives within the wider Council Business Transformation Programme (HR, Payroll and Procure to Pay).

We are about to embark on a major procurement exercise to select a preferred cloud-based integrated Finance /People service  and the post-holder will play a key role in ensuring the requirements of the Service are met while supporting implementation of the preferred service.

Must hold a professional qualification (CCAB or equivalent) and be suitably experienced.
