We are looking to recruit an experienced financial professional to a Principal Accountant role. Reporting to the Senior Financial Services Management Team the role will require the postholder to act as the lead officer on all treasury management and capital investment and accounting aspects for the Council.

This post will be responsible for the day to day management of the Accountancy team and working with this team and the Financial Service Management Team, embracing and helping develop our excellent business partnering approach in support of our service managers and directors. 

We are looking for enthusiastic and pragmatic individual, with a 'can-do' attitude, significant experience of financial stewardship, along with excellent people, communication and staff management skills. Specifically this role we are looking for someone with significant experience in supporting the financial aspects treasury management and capital accounting for the council, however, consideration will be given to those with experience in either of these two major roles.
