General Role Summary/Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for both recurring and ad hoc analysis supporting contract pricing, utilization management, client-level profitability, and value-based contract compliance.

  • Utilizing independent judgment and discretion, identifies trends, variances, and key issues and proactively provides recommendations for adjustment.

  • Responsible for conducting moderately complex financial analysis projects and/or reporting.

  • Prepares financial reports on monthly basis for distribution to senior leadership for monitoring of financial performance, and recommends improvements.

  • Provides support on projects designed to improve cost effectiveness, affordability, and quality of care. 

  • Completes day-to-day financial analysis tasks without immediate supervision, but has ready access to guidance from both more experienced team members and other functional areas in matrixed environment.

  • Tasks involve a degree of proactive forward planning and anticipation of needs/issues.

  • May design, enhance and maintain system applications for processing and reporting financial information.

  • Works with matrix partners

The Ideal Candidate Will Offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of financial analysis, accounting or related experience

  • General knowledge of the healthcare industry and insurance products

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Innovative and strong desire to learn

  • Ability to communicate results to highly varied individuals/groups

  • Strong Excel skills and experience building and maintaining excel models.

  • Experience with Hyperion (Essbase) Software (ideal but not required)

Location: Franklin, TN

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
