Interim Capital Accountant

We are working in partnership with a local authority organisation in the south of England who are looking for the support of an Interim Capital Accountant.

The primary focus of the role will be to support the existing team on wide-ranging capital programmes – providing the technical support around managing funding agreements, management & financial accounting, management reporting and business partnering. Additionally, it is important to offer mentorship, training and guidance to the rest of the team to aid succession planning.

The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with demonstrable experience and achievements relating to capital accounting, specifically supporting another local authority’s capital accounting programme, including the funding side and general accounting management.
