Job Details

CIPFA-Penna are supporting a large, evolving council in search of a Finance Business Partner to support a high-profile programme of transformation to address challenges within education (specifically, SEND). The assignment will be an interim one for a period of at least 6 months.

Supporting a dedicated programme office as well as senior leads in education and finance, this is an exciting and prominent programme – one that is crucial for the improving the council’s control, management, performance and overall success in delivering SEND services within agreed budgets whilst delivering ambitious savings plans.

We are seeking qualified finance professionals with extensive knowledge of supporting similar improvement and transformation projects in a local authority environment. You should demonstrate excellent knowledge of financial and management reporting, with a clear idea of ‘what good looks like’. You’ll also be a proven and credible leader with a natural ability to capably address challenges without deviating from your course and end objective. You must also be a fully-qualified accountant holding any of the following: CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA.

For further information or to notify us of your interest in the assignment, please contact Jonathon Sheppard at CIPFA-Penna (jonathon.sheppard@penna.com).
