A new role and a fresh drive for improvement

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals to our high-performing team.  As an Assistant Finance Business Partner, you’ll join us in a brand new role where you can bring important change.

Working to assist the Financial Business Partner providing financial advice to our directorates, you’ll have the chance to influence financial planning and business decisions. By giving high quality advice, information and support, you’ll help to shape our organisation at strategic and operational levels.

The key is to make sure decisions are made with Finance at the table. As well as supplying management support and financial data, you’ll challenge, seek solutions and uphold good governance. There’ll also be an opportunity to take the financial lead on projects. In effect, you’ll provide information, advice and guidance, reporting back to the Finance Business Partners and building relationships up to Senior Manager level.

An individual who is either a finalist (actively studying) or possess a recognised professional qualification (ACA/CIMA/CIPFA/ACCA or equivalent), you’ll have experience in financial reporting, budgeting, option appraisal, costing and forecasting. You’re also able to analyse complex statistical data, forming insights and solving problems innovatively.

You’ll have gained your experience in a large, complex organisation, where you’ve worked in a role that helped deliver change.  Commercially sharp and good with people, you’ll be capable of listening to your contacts’ needs and building strong connections.
