The City of Lincoln Council is looking to appoint two finance professionals who will contribute to all aspects of the financial standing, management and reporting of the Council’s financial resources.  These posts will support the revenue finance function of the Council, including contributing to the development of business cases and projects and providing financial advice when required. 

The ideal candidate will need to be a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).  An understanding of revenue and capital accounting, monitoring and budgeting is essential together with an awareness and general knowledge of Local Government Finance.  Knowledge of HRA accounting would be desirable.  You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build effective relationships with all stakeholders.  The Authority is currently assisting in the development of the role by offering support to obtain the CIPFA Level 7 Finance Business Partnering qualification.
