We are looking for an appropriately qualified Finance professional to help support our ambitious agenda, driving forward regeneration schemes, developing our commercial strategy and supporting the delivery of services.

This will be a key role within Finance and Property, you will lead a team undertaking a full range of financial activities to service units of the council and deputise for the Principal Accountant and Finance Manager.

You will be instrumental in bringing forward and implementing new initiatives and commercial strategies and plans to ensure the sustainability of council services, working closely with the Principal Accountant, Finance Manager and Head of Service.

An experienced senior financial leader you will have significant and practical post-qualification experience together with an understanding of all current major issues affecting local government finance.
