Pension Fund Accounting and Investments Officer - Permanent Opportunity - Home based role
Wiltshire Council are looking to appoint a Senior Investment Officer to support the Head of Pension Fund Investments in the management of the Pension Fund’s investments (£2.7bn+).

About the role
You will be dealing with performance, research, strategic issues, relationships with investment managers, responsible investment issues, influencing developments with Brunel,reporting and presenting matters to Committee.
As a Senior Investment Officer you will review processes around the accounting and investments of the Pension Fund, and implement innovative and efficient solutions to problems whilst project managing the production of the accounts and annual report, and the budget setting and monitoring process.
About you
You will be Qualified accountant(e.g. CIPFA, ACA etc), with significant experience post qualification experience at a senior level and hold a Investment qualification e.g.Investment Management Certificate or ability to demonstrate equivalent skills and experience
You will have evidence of continued professional development and hold at least 5 years post qualification experience in an investment field. You will have Significant experience of pension fund accounting and implementation of CIPFA Code of Practice and full understanding of the principles of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
You will have expert technical understanding of pension fund investments, and knowledge of monitoring investment services and understanding of strategic investment issues, including experience of managing the strategic asset allocation.
An enthusiastic project manager with excellent analytical skills, you will have demonstrated the ability to solve problems and develop innovative, streamlined solutions and can show are cord of delivering tangible results in a complex environment
