As Head of Finance (Pensions and Treasury), you will lead the Council’s c.£1.5bn social fund, which was 100% funded at the most recent valuation In this post, you will be the lead officer responsible for working with the Pensions Committee and Board to develop the Fund’s investment strategy, which has a developed with an increasingly strong focus on the ESG credentials of our investments in recent years.  The Fund has been a leader amongst LGPS funds in many respects in recent years, taking steps to decarbonise its investments and being one of the first LGPS Funds to invest in renewable energy several years ago.  You will also lead the Fund’s Administration Team: with 20,000 members of our fund, your impact will be huge, and your expertise here will be key.

As an experienced pensions and treasury leader, with a strong track record of leading effective services in local government or the wider public sector, you will provide strong leadership to your expert team of Pensions and Treasury professionals. Your innovation and creativity internally will be important, although your influence will go beyond Haringey as you also help to build our national profile.

Working closely with the Deputy S151 and S151 Officer, you will build on your existing experience of excellent pension fund and treasury management to help take Haringey to the next level.
