Job Details

The role of the Director of Finance and Procurement is multi-faceted and complex, requiring a broad range of financial and leadership capabilities. It is pivotal to continually strengthening SCTS’ overall financial management, through improved use of management information and systems whilst providing increased assurances to the Executive Team, Audit and Risk Committee and Board.

You will be a strong people leader with a track record in ensuring that Finance operations meet key strategic initiatives in either the Private or Public Sectors. You will be a professionally qualified accountant and a member of an accountancy body recognised by the CCAB.

Whilst building greater financial competency and knowledge across the organisation, you will provide a stable and efficient financial base to allow the implementation of justice reforms, continual improvement of services and long term sustainability. Whilst working directly to the Chief Finance Officer, you will work collaboratively with other directors, courts and tribunals staff.

The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service is a value-led organisation which means our values - Respect, Service and Excellence - are at the centre of everything we do. These values are embedded in our leadership roles and you will be expected to lead by example; living and demonstrating our values on a day by day basis.

Company

Its function is to provide administrative support to Scottish Courts and to the judiciary of those courts, including the High Court of Justiciary, Court of Session, sheriff courts and justice of the peace courts, and to the Office of the Public Guardian and Accountant of Court.
