This is an opportunity to be a key part of a highly motivated, strong performing and friendly finance team.
The post reports to the Head of Finance for Adult Social Care, Health & Housing. This post will lead, manage and develop the budgeting and accounts for Housing.
The responsibilities include:
- Preparation of financial plans, annual budgets, revenue monitoring reviews and final accounts.
- Forecasting and managing the budgetary implications for service delivery caused by the specialist and unpredictable nature of some of the services delivered by the Council.
- Provision of day-to-day financial advice to chief officers and senior managers.
We are looking for a CCAB qualified accountant or an AAT Accountant with extensive knowledge and experience in Local Government finance. This is a great opportunity to play a significant role in assuring continuous improvement. Ideally the prospective candidate should have experience of dealing with Housing.
