Supporting the entire Council is no easy feat. It’s vital that areas such as Finance, HR, Legal, Customer Services and Digital Services perform outstandingly and meet our team’s needs. You’ll provide the strategic and operational leadership that’s required while challenging the status quo. And as you lead fundamental service redesign, you’ll help us deliver on the broader Corporate Plan and play an integral role in Council leadership.

In many ways, there’s tremendous scope for fresh ideas and thinking. However, as you drive through strategy, you must keep governance and performance at the heart of all improvements. There’s also the opportunity and requirement to inspire people, focus our customer and digital thinking, and drive cultural change. And though you don’t have to be our S151 Officer, you will oversee the statutory finance responsibilities.
