Interim Project Accountant

CIPFA-Penna are working in partnership with a large local authority in the Midlands region in the search for an Interim Project Accountant to support a number of high-profile projects the council.

Working closely with Transformation Team, senior managers and external advisers, the post-holder will be the key financial and commercial guide on multiple projects designed to improve the deliverability of several key strategies.

We are looking for a qualified accountant with notable experience of providing insightful financial and commercial support to multiple projects, preferably in another local authority organisation. The suitable candidate will be a CIPFA-qualified accountant (or equivalent) with strong related technical skills (i.e. financial modelling, project costing, development of business cases, appraisal methods, etc.) coupled with good commercial and business-partnering abilities.
