We have recently been instructed on a high-profile interim Head of Finance role for an evolving local authority undergoing significant transformation, for an initial period of 6 months based in the North-West. This opportunity will specifically focus on supporting the many challenges in the large Adult Social Care and Public Health directorates.

The successful candidate will ideally possess a notable level of experience within local authority, preferably aligned to providing support of a financial nature to Adult Social Services. Additionally, along with a CIPFA (or equivalent) qualification, an energetic, dedicated and focussed individual with first-class leadership and communication skills will be required.

This is an exciting role that will afford the successful applicant with a genuine opportunity to provide value-adding business partnering as a senior professional across a diverse, interesting and rewarding area; subsequently having the chance to make a measurable impact and leave a lasting legacy on the success of this operation in a large and respected authority.

Day rate will be dependent upon your level of experience. For more information, or to express your interest in this opportunity, please contact Jonathon Sheppard at CIPFA-Penna;
