Job Details
We are working in partnership with a large local authority in the East Midlands region who are looking for the support of an Interim Finance Manager to support a number of services and projects across the council.
The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with demonstrable experience and achievements of supporting a broad arena of services in another local authority. The role will act as a deputy to the Head of Finance and will see the successful individual lead a finance team; through a finance business-partnering model, in implementing process improvements, supporting year-end accounts closure and associated processes, supporting key projects, workstreams and strategic objectives crucial to the continued improvement of the council. It is therefore also important that someone brings solid leadership experience, coupled with strong technical skills and a ‘value-adding’ / ‘continuous improvement’ mindset to the role.
