An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and innovative qualified accountant to join a dynamic and forward thinking Finance Team striving to be the best Finance Team in the Best Council.

The successfully individual will provide professional leadership and management of a centrally based Financial Management Team, providing strategic financial advice, support and challenge to directorate-based senior officers.

Be able to support delivery of the outcomes of the Best Council Plan and directorate service plans by ensuring these plans align with the Council’s budget and Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS)

Develop and maintain professional and proactive relationships with directorate-based senior officers, working in partnership to support the achievement of organisational goals and promote the efficient and effective stewardship of assets and resources.
