Interim Principal Finance Accountant

CIPFA-Penna are currently working with a large local authority based in Greater London who are seeking an Interim Principal Finance Accountant (Highway Operations and Street Scene / Traffic and Engineering) for a period of 3-6 months.

You will be responsible for;

1. Providing comprehensive professional financial management services directly and through the management of the staff, and for maintaining, monitoring and controlling the directorate budget.

2. Preparing revenue and capital monthly/quarterly/annual management accounts for a specific number of service areas as allocated.

3. Working with and supporting budget holders providing them with accurate budget monitoring information

4. Providing information for internal/external audit as required

CCAB, part qualified or qualified (preferably CIPFA) with previous experience of having worked in a local environment setting.

Inside IR35 - Day rate c.£300.
