Integration and Collaboration
Bury is embracing the challenges and opportunities afforded by Greater Manchester Devolution and integration of Health, Social Care and wider public sector services. The Council and the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are coming together to form a single commissioning body led by Geoff Little, who is both the Council’s Chief Executive and the Accountable Officer of the CCG.
The next step is to combine the financial management of the two organisations under the leadership of the newly appointed Joint Chief Finance Officer. To support the Joint CFO, we are now looking to appoint a Deputy CFO whose main focus will be on the delivery of the finance services for the Council.
We are looking for you to provide inspirational leadership to the authority’s finance team and bring enthusiasm and creative thinking to finding solutions to the challenges faced by the Council, CCG and wider local economy.
The post provides a rare opportunity to gain first-hand experience of working with two complex organisations as part of the ground-breaking programme of Greater Manchester Devolution. We are progressing on a radical programme of change, unparalleled in the Council’s history.
