The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) spends £10bn a year delivering crucial public services to a wide range of users, often with complex needs; protecting and advancing the principles of justice. The scale and pace of our work is challenging and requires strong financial leadership to deliver the business changes successfully alongside the day to day running of the Department.

As Finance Director – Financial Management and Control, you will be responsible for leading all elements of the department’s financial management and reporting across the function in support of our corporate services, policy groups and 4 executive agencies.

Your challenge will be to develop and lead a unified financial management and reporting service and support Accounting Officers and the Chief Finance Officer in fulfilling their responsibilities, ensuring that the department’s annual spending is appropriately managed and that robust controls are operated effectively to support the successful delivery of the Ministry of Justice’s priorities now and in the future.
