Interim Financial Accountant

CIPFA-Penna are working with a local authority based in the South East of England who are currently looking for an Interim Financial Accountant.

As part of a team of expert financial accountants responsible for statutory financial reporting, effective treasury management and the provision of tax advice.

You will be responsible for promoting adherence with government regulations, Codes of Practice and underlying accounting standards and relevant UK tax regulations through the provision of high quality advice to a team of finance professionals and/or by supporting delivery of aspects of the Council’s statutory financial accounts, treasury management function and tax accounting and reporting.

The post holder is expected to build strong relationships with finance colleagues and with internal and external partners and be a key and active member of manager forums.

You must be CCAB qualified with experience of working within a local government setting.
