We have a permanent Accountant role which is an ideal opportunity for a proactive, flexible, and technical individual who has the ability to work in a fast paced environment building effective working relationships with schools, finance and service colleagues within the Council. This is a challenging and exciting role which will give you excellent experience, development and exposure to schools, academies, high needs and early years settings as well as the ability to help shape and develop the team. The role is pivotal to ensure robust financial control processes are in place in respect of maintained schools, that local financial management is supported and that funding distributions are accurate, transparent and understood across the sector.

The Council offers an attractive re-location package for new recruits to the County (up to £8k of reimbursed expenses).  This role is currently based at Shire Hall in Cambridge. Cambridgeshire County Council's headquarters is due to move to Alconbury Weald during winter 2020-21. The Council is a flexible employer supporting regular home and remote working, supported by   technology.
