We have an excellent Group Accountant opportunity to provide Strategic Schools Funding and Finance services..

This permanent full time Group Accountant opportunity, will be based in Northampton with support and travel to other LGSS locations required. Based on the clients supported currently a presence will be required in Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire to manage the teams in each location, attend Schools Forums, liaise with Business Partner finance colleagues and other key stakeholders such as the service managers, senior finance managers and Members. It is an ideal role for a proactive, flexible, and technical individual who has the ability to work in a fast paced environment building effective working relationships and willing to take on a highly challenging portfolio and develop their technical accounting skills.

This role will give you excellent experience and development across LGSS Partners as well as the ability to help shape and develop the team. The role is pivotal to ensure high quality strategic finance advice regarding the Dedicated Schools Grant and the Corporate Management of Schools in an increasingly changing, complex and challenging environment. The role will also be pivotal in the local government reorganisation within Northamptonshire.
