Investment & Treasury Manager (Interim)

A leading local authority in the Midlands area is looking for immediate support of an interim Investment & Treasury Manager to help manage their extensive investment portfolio and oversee a busy Treasury function. This opportunity is available on an interim basis for a period of approximately 6 months.

The successful candidate will support the accounting for, and guidance of grant investments and commercial investments. They will support the Commercial Director of the business in ensuring the commercial investment strategy and portfolio is managed and accounted for appropriately, whilst protecting the business and minimising the risk to the organisation. There will be numerous stakeholders in a variety of different organisations, each with their own complexities and political environments – therefore the role will require someone adept at navigating in similarly complex situations in a diplomatic, yet impactful way.

You’ll need to be a fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA or ACCA), therefore comfortable with the technicalities of accounting and reporting for similar investment portfolios, including the impact and implications of investment strategies / decisions to the balance sheet. You’ll also need to demonstrate an acute commercial awareness to ensure risk is managed appropriately.
