Following internal review, this new role within the Corporate Finance team is currently being recruited to. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, you will lead on the financial management of the Council’s capital programme, ensuring that all proposals are evaluated robustly, projects are subjected to robust financial monitoring and that detailed reports on all financial aspects of the capital programme are provided to all relevant stakeholders. You will provide strategic financial advice relating to capital and major projects with capital implications as appropriate including developing financial modelling for existing/new projects where appropriate.

You will be a CCAB qualified accountant or have significant experience of working at a senior level with in a large and complex organisation. You will have extensive experience of financial modelling and project management including delivery across multifunctional teams. You will also have an excellent technical knowledge of capital accounting. Finally, you must have good IT skills with excellent knowledge of office applications.
