Executive Director - Financial Advisory

Isle of Man Treasury

 £86,324 - £94,804 per annum

Are you an accountancy professional?

Would you love a job with the opportunity to make an impact and drive forward change and improvement?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Executive Director to join our leadership team within the Isle of Man Treasury.

This is a new post, created to establish and lead a shared Government wide financial advisory and management function. It provides a fantastic opportunity to take a lead role in bringing all finance officers within the Isle of Man Government together to improve the resilience and quality of service, and play a key part in the transformation of Government Finance.

What could this role offer you?

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this unique and exciting role provides the opportunity to work with and influence leaders across the organisation, along with politicians.  You will have the opportunity to make an impact, representing the Isle of Man Government at local and international level, building strong relationships with departmental management teams and championing financial awareness across government.

The Isle of Man Government is a forward thinking organisation - the Programme for Government details ambitious aims for the Isle of Man and by working with us, you can be a part of making this vision happen.

We can offer you a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive organisation that values our people and their development. This is a full time position but as an equal opportunities employer we will consider flexible working arrangements.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will need to hold an accountancy qualification and have experience in a senior financial management role. You will need a deep understanding of financial control systems and have experience of managing financial control and governance systems at a senior level.

Excellent leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills will be vital to enable you to work effectively with politicians and other senior leaders across Treasury and wider Government to enable us to succeed.

If you have the experience we’re looking for and think you could be a catalyst for change, helping drive forward the vision of the Treasury, we'd love to hear from you.
