TAKE YOUR FINANCE CAREER TO A NEW PLACE
Reigate and Banstead Borough Council
Head of Finance (S.151 Officer)
c£82,500 salary package
As a well-performing, commercially-driven and grounded authority, Reigate & Banstead is looking to build on these strengths and achieve financial self-sufficiency over coming years. With a new senior management structure now in place we are ready to enhance our finance team capability with the appointment of a Head of Finance.
In this key role you will be supporting our Management Team and Members to deliver our corporate ambitions. As a CCAB-qualified accountant you will have a strong track record in public sector finance, either already as Head of Finance, or with the skills and experience to step up to the Section 151 Officer role.
It is important that you are very familiar with the latest developments in local government finance, including legislation, best practice and accounting in order to lead development of our core financial processes while at the same time supporting our managers with their business developments and commercial ventures. A sound understanding of good governance is key, as well as strong leadership and engagement skills.
You will be joining a driven Council that is exploring new ways of operating and pursuing innovative models of commercial service delivery. The culture is supportive, with a positive feel about the place and a strong sense of direction for the future, creating an environment that will potentially enhance your own personal career development.
For an informal discussion call our advising consultants at Penna: Anthony Hopkin on 07500 042272 or Philippa Watkins on 07710 098510.
