Job Details
CIPFA-Penna are working in partnership with a county council to support the recruitment of an Interim Senior Management Accountant (approx. 9 months) to support the current leadership teams across two-three different business units.
The role will involve offering a full and insightful business-partnering service to members and senior management, ensuring the implications of major projects and key decisions are understood and accounted for. There will be a requirement to offer sound financial guidance and stewardship to the variety of projects across the authority as well as give a solid technical overview of all financial activities in the business units including the full financial cycle of budget planning, budget monitoring, closure of accounts, etc.
We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with demonstrable experience accounting, financial management and finance business-partnering in a local authority environment.
