Chief Financial Officer & Director of Resources

We are looking for a Chief Finance Officer & Director of Resources who is passionate about operational policing and ensuring best value for money for the residents of our County.  You will be a key member of our Chief Officer Team and Section 151 Officer for the Constabulary whilst also being part of our wider strategic alliance with Bedfordshire Police and Hertfordshire Constabulary.  With challenges such as responding to HMICFRS and HMRC and leading on the finances for the new Police Education Qualifications Framework for the Force, this role is a key player in the overall management of the Force.  You will be tasked with getting the best value for money, both financially and with public procurement contracts and you will lead on the management of our diverse estates across the County.

We are seeking an individual with confidence and gravitas to lead teams in providing Procurement, Fleet, Uniform and Insurance services in addition to the main finance role.  You will have executive level finance and resource experience from a large and complex service organisation and ideally experience of managing public funds.
