The Veritau group consists of two local authority controlled companies, Veritau and Veritau North Yorkshire. The group provides internal audit, counter fraud, risk management and information governance related services to a number of councils, schools and other public sector clients.

Salary £24,799 - £27,905 plus 3% performance related pay
We are seeking skilled Internal Auditors. Reporting to the Audit Manager you will assist in the delivery of high quality risk-based audit services across a wide ranging local authority portfolio.
You should be able to manage your own time, develop good working relationships with client departments and be able to communicate effectively. You should also be confident, excellent at identifying solutions and be willing to question and challenge established practices.
The successful candidate will be CIA qualified or hold a relevant accounting or accounting technician qualification. We are looking for someone with experience of internal audit - or other relevant experience in financial management, or a role involving research, analysis and problem solving in a business environment. Practical audit experience within a public sector organisation would be an advantage.
The package includes membership of a company pension scheme, performance related pay, generous leave entitlement and flexible working arrangements.
The post will be based at our York or Northallerton office and will involve some travel.
