An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children’s Management Accountant role available in the Schools’ and Childrens’ Finance team in Bedford Borough Council. 

Bedford Borough Council is a growing unitary authority in the heart of Bedfordshire.  The council is pursuing an exciting transformation agenda to better meet the needs, and improve the lives, of our residents, local businesses and visitors: so it is an exciting time to join us. 

Finance has been restructured to be a true Partner to the service: driving decisions upfront and improving performance.  And we are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic finance professional to be part of the exciting development of a new team at the forefront of BB2020, and the Digital Operating Model.

We are seeking applicants who are CCAB or CIMA qualified, with previous experience of providing finance business partnering services to drive better decision making and resolve financial problems.  Applicants must be able to work at pace and have excellent communication skills as they will be talking to a broad range of non-finance stakeholders.  The successful applicant will have a broad remit, and access to wider developmental opportunities. Recently passed finalists must commit to gaining their letters within 6 months.
