With our partners, Imperial College London, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, we form Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner; a key leadership role in the Surgery Cancer and Cardiovascular Division with a budget of £300m.  Reporting to the Deputy CFO, the aim of this role is to provide leadership and direction to improve the financial performance of the division, supporting the development and implementation of its strategy and financial plans for sustainability. The role manages a team which provides expert financial reporting, advice and support to the directorates within the division, with the business partner playing a key role supporting the Divisional Management team to performance management of the directorates.  You will play a key role in ensuring a joined up service is provided across all corporate business partners.

Successful candidates will be CCAB qualified accountants with significant post qualification experience in financial leadership roles and which includes experience of leading and driving change initiatives, business case development, financial planning and reporting.  We are open to which sector your experience comes from, but having experience within a large complex organisation is essential.  You will have excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to clearly present complex financial or business ideas in writing and verbally in an appropriate way for the audience.  You will be able to form and manage effective relationships with Executive Directors to meet the needs of the Trust and the Division.  You will possess excellent analytical experience and be able to understand complex problems, arriving at solutions and being able to implement them and/or persuade others to adapt and implement them. 

The Trust has a strong commitment to education, and training and you will be given every opportunity to develop your skills and experience in order to make the step to Deputy CFO and CFO.  You will have direct access to the CFO for mentoring and career development. You will be involved in assisting to deliver the hospitals mission of excellence in patient care.
