The role of the Finance team is changing. As the council continues its journey towards financial self-sustainability there is an increasing need to deliver effective budget management and provide strong financial support and vision.

With tighter budgets and increasing commercial activity, we are looking to fill key roles that will help shape and deliver the financial expertise required for the council to thrive. The roles are within the management accounting team and provide business partner support to front line service Directorates.

Successful candidates will have excellent financial management skills and be able to work effectively with budget holders. The ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-financial managers is a must. Understanding of key financial process including budget setting, budget management and closedown is required as is the ability to understand and support commercial budgets.    

We are recruiting a Senior Management Accountant to support the Environment, Highways and Place.
