Interim Finance Manager
CIPFA-Penna are working in partnership with an East Midlands based district council to support the recruitment of an Interim Finance Manager to support the current leadership team in a variety of areas – including capital accounting, budgeting (preparation of the budget as well as management of budget-holders performance), managing the relationship with the auditors (including dealing with year-end related queries) and even supporting the planning / formulation of an upcoming restructure in finance.
We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with demonstrable experience accounting and financial management in a local authority environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience of budget monitoring, treasury management and capital and revenue accounting. The role will be either part-time or full-time depending on the requirements and background of the ideal candidate so may be ideal if you would prefer 3 or 4 days per week.
