Warwickshire is famous the world over as Shakespeare’s county— but that’s only half the story. We’re also vibrant and modern. One of the fastest growing commercial regions in the UK, we’re home to many leading companies and developing exciting opportunities for everyone who lives and works here.

The impact of population growth, increased service demand and changes to local government funding is well evidenced. To respond to these challenges, we have developed a new operating model designed to enable the delivery of our corporate outcomes and focus the whole organisation on a single strategic direction. The result will be needs focused, efficient and integrated service delivery which reduces demand and increases our financial sustainability.

Key to delivering this new approach will be having the right senior leadership capability and capacity in place; a team that enables a commissioning driven organisation focused on reducing need, delivers lean and efficient services and increases income through commercialisation. This is where you come in.

The Assistant Director – Finance is a strategy and commissioning role with a broad remit that includes Deputy S151 duties, transactional finance, pensions, treasury and our emerging commercial function. The role represents a great opportunity for an individual with both strong technical local government finance experience and corporate leadership credentials to take on a high-profile role across the authority.

If you have transformational leadership experience, from either a contractor or local authority, and the desire to make a real impact in Warwickshire, we would like to hear from you. Please visit www.leadwarwickshire.co.uk or speak to Nick Cole (07736 491804) or Ben Manojlovic (07785 454971).
