Strategic Finance Business Partner
A County Council currently embarking on a programme of radical change including a Finance Improvement Programme, which is aiming to address any weaknesses and lay the foundations to deliver a best in class finance function at the heart of the council. They currently have a mandate to review all that they do, and to drive organisational wide improvements in financial management.
This role is the lead Finance support to the Children’s and Families Directorate, who are on an exciting improvement journey led by a new management team. The significant service transformation planned is also required to deliver financial benefits which is part of the Council’s budget plans for 2019/20 and beyond. Key deliverables will include;
- Helping shape the provision of Children’s Services for the future
- Developing and implementing a new Business Partner model across the service
- Advising on strategic service financial issues including medium-term budget planning and service transformation
- Engaging extensively with elected members, and other senior stakeholders, involving significant influencing and negotiation.
To be suitable for the role you need to be a fully qualified impactful finance leader, who has ambition and high expectations. Proven experience of driving through change and the ability to influence and challenge is essential. Experience within Children’s Services is not essential.
