Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides health services at hospital and across the London Borough of Hackney community. The Trust employs over 3500 members of staff working out of 75 different sites and aims to reach an annual turnover of £400m by 2020. Homerton is a part of the UCL Partners, one of the five academic health science partnerships in England and is a member of the QUEST Network, which focuses on benchmarking and improving quality within organisations. The hard-working and ambitious finance department is looking for a Finance Manager within Costing to join them and make an impact across the wider organisation.

 

Finance Manager - Costing role and responsibilities:

  • Completing annual Reference Cost Return for the Trust
  • To be the key Trust lead on the development, roll-out and maintenance of all aspects of PLICS and Service Line Reporting
  • Producing reports, supporting divisions in understanding outputs and providing information for senior decision making

This role within Costing provides an opportunity to have responsibility across the whole hospital and be a key person in transforming the change of information and data into the Trust to improve efficiency and clinical output. You will receive a lot of exposure, professional development and you will be reporting directly to the Head of Income & Costing.

 

Experience required for Finance Manager (Costing):

The ideal candidate will have outstanding project management skills and the ability to manage and manipulate large volumes of data. You must have previous experience using costing software and be able to demonstrate technical skills as well as strong communication and relationship building skills. It is also essential that you are degree educated and fully qualified (CCAB/CIMA). We are considering candidates with transferrable NHS experience but also professionals from different backgrounds who have experience working in Costing or in large, complex organisations.
