Service modernisation and improvement - and make sure residents feel the difference!

Here at Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP), we want our residents to get the very best from us. That means introducing improvements and striving for outstanding performance. To take our organisation forward so it meets our communities’ needs, we need a Finance & Corporate Services Director who’ll be a catalyst for progress. Joining a dedicated team in a green and fast-evolving borough, you’ll be a highly visible figure, inspiring change and raising the profile of residents.

As a member of our Executive Management Team, you’ll have the chance to influence development via a range of cross-cutting projects. With the expertise of your multi-disciplinary team, you’ll aim to deliver exceptional levels of service for customers.

The key is to deliver the SHP New Deal which establishes a new relationship with all our residents that is based upon mutual trust and confidence. Making the most of resources, including ICT will be crucial. So you’ll be managing outsourced contracts, co-ordinating corporate planning and thinking about funding innovatively. At the same time, you’ll be engaging with residents and making sure their voices are heard. Excellent internal communication will be essential as we implement transformation, and you’ll provide updates on finance, people matters and performance.

A CIPFA-qualified accountant (or equivalent) with strong HRA experience, you’ll be a strategic thinker with the drive to make a difference. With a good understanding of social housing/ALMO or a local government background, you’ll be familiar with our sector and determined to raise standards. While experience of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and contract management is vital, it’s an empathetic approach that will make you stand out from the crowd. Passionate about social housing and a true people person, you’ll be keen to build connections, meet our residents and find out what we can do for them.
