Finance Business Partner (Interim)
CIPFA-Penna are working in partnership with an SME limited company, wholly-owned by the local authority, who are in need of an astute Finance Business Partner (Interim – approx. 3 months) to support the business through a period of significant change.
The role will involve typical finance business partner activities such as budgetary support (monitoring, maintaining, challenging and guiding budget holders), financial reporting and translating financial results in to insightful recommendations to improve margin and performance (operational and financial). However, the role will also involve work of a more strategic nature, including appraising and financially supporting projects, providing improved MI (to include job profitability, margin analysis, etc.), developing the suite of financial reporting and advising on the upcoming implementation of a new financial reporting system.
The role will directly support the FD of this SME business and will require a fully-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or CIPFA) with a background of having been a Finance Business Partner in another private company – preferably another SME. Additionally, specific experience of having developed / improved financial reporting and MI would be a distinct advantage.
