Principal Officer, Financial Assessment
The OfS is the new independent regulator for higher education in England. We were created this year to ensure that all students, whatever their background, have a fulfilling experience of higher education that enriches their lives and careers.
We're building a new team to regulate universities and colleges and want to make a number of new appointments to posts at different levels.
It's important to us that our growing team is more diverse so we encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and identities. We’re especially keen to hear from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates who are currently under-represented. We’re also a Disability Confident employer – we’ll provide a fully accessible recruitment process and offer an interview to disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the job.
We’re happy to receive applications for full time, part-time, job share or secondment opportunities.
To work with us, you don’t need to be an expert in higher education, but you will have a passion for the OfS's mission and for making a difference for all students.
We're looking for a qualified accountant to join our new financial assessment team. You’ll be an experienced leader, be able to show us that you can analyse the financial performance of a wide range of universities and colleges, and explain what this means to colleagues who aren’t accountants.
As well as an exciting opportunity to be part of something new, we provide our staff with a comprehensive staff development programme, 25 days’ annual leave, and the opportunity to join the Civil Service Pension scheme.
You’ll need to get your application to us by midnight on 2 December and we'll be interviewing on 12 December.
If you’d like to know more we'd love to talk to you, and you can call 0117 931 7306 and speak to one of the team. You can find the detailed job description, and apply, for this posts on our website at https://www.officeforstudents.org.uk/careers/
