Our client is a leading Acute Trust which has an opportunity for an experienced financial accountant to join the team as preparations begin for the year end work.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, this position will help in drawing together the financial accounts for the year, writing procedure notes, taking care of capital and co-ordinating the work of the team. In addition to this, you will be the lead for the implementation of an upgrade to the Oracle ledger. As a result, the work will span a range of tasks from organisation and management to some hands on technical work.
You should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with substantial experience of the NHS financial regime and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the year end process. Ideally you will have worked in the implementation of a ledger upgrade in the past. First rate prioritisation and communication skills will also be important.
This will be a challenging role and offers the chance to take on not only to delivery of the accounts with the team, but an additional project to lead.
