Finance Manager - Direct Labour Organisation
Allen Lane are working with a local authority’s Direct Labour Organisation to recruit an interim Finance Manager to lead their finance team. This team is responsible for providing expertise for management accounting and finance intelligence to enable the DLO to be commercially astute and maximise its internal and external income generation.
As such, some of your key responsibilities will include;
- Responsible for all facets of the financial services required by the DLO including but not limited to; budget setting and management, payment functions, management of cost controls, debtor management, payroll function including incentive scheme
- Provision of high quality management information and professional financial advice to management team and senior officers.
- Responsible for the management and development of finance related staff including objective and target setting, performance management, the delivery of work plans and continuous professional development.
The successful candidate will ideally be CCAB qualified with commercial sector and trading account experience. An excellent understanding of finance best practice within the public sector will also be required. Strong communication and leadership skills, coupled with a proactive attitude will set you apart from other applicants.
